Ursa Minor Brewing is hosting a Fix It Clinic with Paige from Bolt West! Bring any clothing or other items that are in need of repair and she'll fix it up while you enjoy a pint or a pizza!

Watch, listen, & learn as sewist, Paige Hoag of Bolt West, repairs your gear so you can tackle future fixes yourself! 

Bring in your clothing or gear to be repaired. Watch as Paige demonstrates and fixes your item. If she is unable to repair within the hour or need to bring home (ie; zipper repairs), we can arrange a time to meet when finished. Most prices are based on size and/or quantity of repair. If you are unsure or have questions, bring it in and lets talk!

Get creative and learn to mend your own clothing by hand! 

Learn:

-basic decorative stitches for patching clothing

-practical stitches for ripped seams

-basic embroidery

-darning knit sweater holes

Scrap fabric, needles, thread all provided but feel free to bring your own items that need mending or if you have a special patch bring that too. If you have a darning mushrooms, please bring.

Join us for a Natural Dyeing Workshop with myself and Dana from Petit Mioche (@petitmioche) at Heritage Goods and Supply and learn the many possibilities of naturally dyeing fabrics without the use of chemicals.

INDIGO SHIBORI WORKSHOP AT THE WAYFARER

This workshop features a collaboration between Petit Mioche and Bolt West! In the three hour workshop we will be teaching you indigo and shibori history, demonstrate resist techniques for you to try, and you will be able to dye two large 100% cotton flour sacks to take home!

Come join us for an afternoon of music, wine and indigo dyeing at The Wayfarer in Santa Barbara (address below)! You will leave with knowledge of indigo and different Japanese shibori techniques, two towels, and care instructions for home.

Fee Includes:

  • All materials including dye resist tools, gloves, ziplock baggie to take items home, etc.

  • Two flour sack towels to dye and take home

Please Note:

  • Space is limited to 15 people so register ASAP

  • I do not have enough aprons so please wear something you do not mind getting dye on, indigo will stain!

  • No extra items can be brought to dye, sorry!
